Event Details
A lovely yet provocative schoolteacher Selya (Rosanna Roces) is in a casual and no-strings attached relationship with Bobby (Gardo Versoza), a salesman. Selya eventually gets tired of their complicated relationship and asks Bobby to marry her but he refuses to take her proposal. Broken-hearted Selya runs away from their village and stays in a town swarmed with homophobic people. There she meets a fellow schoolteacher Ramon (Ricky Davao), a closeted gay male. To save his reputation and conceal his homosexual relationship with Carding (Allan Paule), Ramon proposes to Selya. But instead of settling down with him, Selya goes back to her hometown and continues her sexual relationship with Bobby until she gets impregnated, yet Bobby still refuses to marry her. Selya then decides to return to Ramon and raise her child with him. Despite their platonic relationship, Selya becomes happy with her decision as she realizes her worth as a woman. Surprisingly, Bobby tries to take her back to start a normal family with her and their child. Selya gets compelled to face her own irony, while courageously defying her flesh’s needs to choose the more emotionally rewarding and stable bond. After having a mental bout regarding the essence that makes a man worthy for a lifetime partner over a man that would only fulfill physical desire, Selya is now certain who is worth keeping for.
